Language is communication and preparing students for the world means building communicators that can share their ideas with comfort and reach their audiences effectively.
We strive to build great communicators at the Gamboa Discovery School. Subject lessons are taught in English and we provide high-level Spanish courses for all children.
But language is much more than communication. Language diversity at an early age has a fundamental impact on the way people think, build relationships and understand the world.
Children who are exposed to (and more importantly, learn) multiple languages in their younger years are much more likely to think critically and have greater ability to switch more easily between different tasks.
We therefore support children from a wide array of different cultural and language backgrounds, and we use this diversity to promote understanding in the entire school.
